At the nearby nature preserve daybreak is feeding time. Three ducks are hunting while a fourth seems to have had his/her fill.

The challenge is to encourage people to shoot during the challenge period. This is your one free pass from your shoe box of pics for this challenge. Id does a great job aptly demonstrating it though.

I think a good title for this shot would be "Three Butt Shots and a Profile!"

There has been a ton of great and creative shots for this challenge, but this is my heads up (or butts up as the case may be) favorite. You could never set up a shot like this but how wonderful to be there at just the right moment! Did you crop this from a larger shot? I love it.

Is that what my baseball team mean when they say "ducks in the pond"? :-)

Spedangie. You're right, it was simply luck. I did crop it very slightly, having taken it with a long telephoto lens (400 5.6 L, I think).

Walter, Great shot, the sunset really adds to it. You beat us to the punch! I have an archived shot taken about two weeks ago with 3down-one up, but the one that hit it for me was 5 down at one time!!! Here is a link to it.
