Just outside the town were I grew up is a pond that has become the winter home for a large flock (about 150 birds) of trumpeter swans. They arrived this week, and I made a point of visiting them for Thanksgiving. They gave me several possible shots for this challenge.

Each of these can be a 3 + 1 on more than one level. Three down and one up....or three juveniles and one adult

Again, three juveniles and one adult.....three in a row, one trailing behind...three in the air, one touching down...

Massive, beautiful birds. I could have just stayed there and taken pictures all day if my wife hadn't insisted that I had a date with a smoked bird on the table.

Paul,

Both shots are quite well done, but the moment you've captured in the second shot makes it a "keeper."
