Nice brown Turkey you had there!!! I can almost smell it.

What is the purpose of the bowl by the feet???

I have no idea but my guess is to keep the legs inside the pan. I only noticed it in the photo or I would have asked when i was there. Thanks for commenting.

The bowl at the feet is the latest craze. When the bird reaches proper temperature it breaks wind and that metal bowl gives it liftoff. The bird flies out the stove oven and lands right on the platter for carving. If all goes well. By the way I hope you plan on having your turkey for launch.
