This is the world's tallest erection which display the lights of Christmas. It was quite a site last nite. I dont get to see the CN Tower much from up close and its light display is always different. This time it glowed of Christmas.

Looks like a giant candle, good job on the exposure.

You made us think with that title:roll:

I agree with Mugmar regarding the title :?:O.

It really looks confusing at first, but after some closer inspection I saw that only the left part of the pillar was illuminated and that's why it looks so "thin".

Thanks for sharing,
Th.

Its just the angle. The column of the tower is 3 sided. So the colours run up 120 degrees apart. From where I was standing you can only see one of the light strips.

I love the composition and color but I would like to see it a bit darker. If you use automatic exposure, the meter tricked the camera into thinking the sky was lighter than it actually was. An upcoming challenge will delve into this subject in more depth.

It does look like a torch. It might be my monitor, but I don't think I'd want to see it much darker. It looks okay to me.

Bynx, That's the one thing we are missing in Hawaii. lighting displays of this kind, earthquake threats probably have something to do with that.

Keeping all that in mind, nicely done.

Hey Bynx (and everyone) - Suzanne's christmas gift to me was a night at a swank hotel in Toronto, so took this of the CN Tower last night. Handheld, so it's a bit blurry.

Nice close up shot of the Tower. What was the swank hotel you stayed at?
