I know its made of plastic but I like the metalic look of the coffee cup lid. Both are nice shots amptly illustrating the objects shot.

Mugmar, I used a cheap portfolio from Office Depot -- the kind with a flap that is secured with an elastic band to a "button". I meant to buy a black poster board but they were out of stock. I had the portfolio in my closet, and I liked the texture effect.

I agree, the background works well. It's just amazing some of the unique, inexpensive things that work well in photos.

Good job, Walter. Guess I need to get busy here looking for things. Only thing I've thought of so far is our black dog. But, he hasn't been real cooperative yet.

Very well done. The exposure in both shots is very good but I like the first one the most.
