This weekend I attended a "Eagles Etc. Weekend" at Lake Degray State Park south of Hot Srpings. Great weekend devoted to birds of prey with literally hundreds of photo ops (I've posted many of the pics in the Pentax DSLR forum). However, with 65 degrees today and lots of sun, I found myself wondering if I was on the wrong side of the glass

As I was leaving, I stopped to shoot a last photo of the dozens of cameras clicking away at some of the birds on display

Paul,

The first shot is nicely framed and the exposure allows each picture element to blend together without any blown highlights or unecessary distracting shadows.

That's a very interesting way to give the shooters a chance to get up real close to some of these birds.

Thanks for sharing.

A lovely lake in #1 and, as Selvin said, nicely captured. #2 shows a whole hoard of male and female snappers (camera, that is). Hope it was fun.

Nice work Paul, that sounds like a neat event! I would love being able to get that close to those birds!

The first shot is beautiful. Your exposure is perfect. The second shot has some blown highlights that are a bit distracting.
