This is the northwards view, towards the night-glow of the city of Chester. Moonlight only.

1/2s, f/2.8, ISO3200, resized only.

This is closer to my naked-eye perception,
at 1/2s, f/2.8, ISO800 instead of ISO3200. Both shots were grossly underexposed according to the camera. I didn't note by how much. Resized only.

Alan, I'm not familiar with the camera you are using but it doesn't seem to handle low light, high ISO shots very well. However, I don't think any camera does well at ISO3200! That is really pushing it to the limit. I think my camera may go that high but I've never used it. The highest ISO I have ever used was 1600 indoors with available light. I was shooting the exhibits at a traveling Smithsonian exhibit and flash was not allowed. The pictures were terrible! Normally, I never use an ISO higher than 800.
