Hello all

I have not been online much lately.. but when I saw this challenge early this morning I was VERY happy. I LOVE doing this type of photography and have done many shots like this over the years!!

So this afternoon after I got back home from church (and a special lunch to celebrate our "international students ministry") - I went into my garden and took several "near and far" series of 'selective focus' photos. In fact I took so many today, I will share a few sets of these over the remainder of the days of this challenge.

The first one here is a toy frog that normally sits at the head of one of my two little ponds in my garden (which is currently dry, because we're in a drought!) So I placed this little fella (he's a toy, which I think is designed to sit on the end of a pen, let's call him Kermit) - on an upturned glass on my outdoor / garden table.

The first selective focus photo here (on Kermit) - is here:

... and the 2nd selective focus is on some of my vegetable plants in the background, including capsicum [bell-pepper] and okra (lady-finger) plants.

Our friend Kermit is little more than a green blur here (no offence meant, dear Kermie!)

Ah, this is such good fun! Thanks cal and bi-weekly shoot out moderators!!

Looks good. You made the frog almost see thru.

Hi Patty

Thanks for looking and your comments.

Yes, in fact I'm just about to post another one up (using flowers as the foreground) - and in that photo when I focus on the background, the flowers really ARE see through!

Keep an eye out for it... and thanks again
