Seeing Yesterday's picture of the maple syrup "sugar shack" reminded me that we have one in Huntington Beach, too. Her's is where the syrup is made while ours is where it is consumed. Here locals and tourists are enjoying a late morning February breakfast at sidewalk tables on Main Street -- a block from the pier.

I took this from a second story balcony across the street with a Canon 40D and 100-400L lens.

This one is an archive shot from last July. Every Tuesday evening Main Street is closed to automobiles so that vendors and street performers can do their thing. A very popular event that actually goes year-round.

Nice shots, Walter. I'm envious of the people in the short sleeves as I sit looking at snow fall out my window.:-)

Thanks, Patty. I'm actually hoping to get hired by the local realtor's association to help them sell more houses (just kidding). While prices have dropped here, as elsewhere, the median is still $550K. But, you can still come out for a visit, and a break from the snow.

Very inviting scene. I really like the archive shot--looks like a lot of fun.

Walter,

I knew you had a secret life as a an undercover representative for the HB Tourist Board.

Like Paul noted I fell for the second shot moreso because of the action being portrayed.

Walter, the more I hear about Huntington Beach, the more I would like to live there. I think being there would definitely rekindle the flame in my photography interest. You may have noticed that I haven't posted many photos in the last few months, primarily because I haven't shot many!

These shots are outstanding.
