Several downtown buildings with an open side have been used for murals, including this one that faces onto the parking lot of the main post office here in HB.

Further down Main Street is a fountain area with some seating in front of the adjacent stores. I shot this scene of a lady resting her tired feet alongside a giant stuffed bear. The bear is a constant presence on that bench, just outside a most tempting chocolate store. Shot from a 2nd story balcony.

Walter,

The fisrt photo of the mural certainly qualifies for our challenge. We have a series of huge Whaling Walls done by Wyland artists specializing in marine paintings. Very nice capture.

I have my doubts about the second but since as you say its a permanent fixture it is approrpiate.

Aloha

I really like this trend in downtowns. It takes what could be an eyesore and turns it into an asset. We have a few of them in Hot Springs, but nothing quite this spectacular. I hope I can get downtown this weekend and get a few shots of them.

Well done.

I like the bear. He certainly looks like the candy store has kept him from starving. :-)Nice perspective on the shot.
