Because of the huge stone lintels, and the tall balustrades, I had great difficulty with the 'downsy' shots, even with the camera at strap's length held out blind over the edge. The is the best I could manage. The climb, in the corner,is hidden by the lintel carrying the lightning conductor cables.

I considering getting the building contractors to suspend me from their crane (seen in the little inset shot earlier), but thought it unlikely they'd co-operate. Note the cyclist is being ultra-careful not be caught speeding.

Speeding cyclists, what a blight on our roads. They should all be captured, thrown in the boots of the cars and entered in the local demolition derby.

My god what am I saying......Im a speeding cyclist. Forget my original post.

Alan,

Heights of this magnitude I can stand as a current memer of acrophobia anonymous.

Bynx, perhaps we are lucky the cyclist isn't trying to do a two-wheelie on the cement edge of the wall. Skateboarders seem to delight in exposing themselves to similar anti-gravity feats despite Einstein's proclamation that relativity doesn't kick in at earthly speeds where Newton still reigns supreme.

Aloha

Are you sitting down comfortably, Selvin?...

Funny you said that. As I came the other way a little earlier, a lady cyclist rode illegally, in a determined fashion, with her back to the traffic, along the narrow pavement (sidewalk) towards me,presumably aiming to keep herself safe from motor vehicles. I feared I had the choice of leaping on to the parapet, or pushing her under a bus.

I managed just to flatten myself against the wall enough to avoid her flying pedals and skirts.
