When my wife goes away, I am charged with watering the house plants, among them a beautifully bright pair of plants thatsit on a brightly lit windowsill.

I was surprised to discover that I've been wasting my time on this one, when I shot this macro.

It's obvious now, when I feel the texture, but from more than a coiple of feet away they're completely convincing, and they'd fooled my son as well as me for many years. They have very convincing plastic stems disappearing into a thin layer ofvery convincing imitation soil as well.

Great shot, Alan. I've seen a lot of plastic plants that were very obvious. However, my mother used to make floral arrangements from silk flowers and some of those looked very real.

Alan,

Talk about being fooled, I once went up to a spectacular rose bush in a Garden shop in Chicago and started smelling the flowers.

My wife the ever prsent guardian, nudged me and discreetly told me it was a fake. Even the fake water droplets looked very real.

I think you'ver got his macro business down pat.

Very good work.

Aloha
