These bring to mind my favorite trivia question. Q - Why were New York, Los Angeles and Chicago's original area codes 212, 213 and 312? A - Within the original format for area codes (1st digit not 1 or 0, 2nd digit 1 or 0) they represent the fewest possible clicks of a rotary dial for the 3 most populous US cities.

I have not seen one of those in a long time. Great idea for the challenge. Does anyone still use the old rotary dail???
