Default Red White and Blue - One nation under dog.

This serendipitous snapshot from last week is of our house guest Peanut.
A little frustrated at not being able to come up with anything interesting for Writing Instruments, this not spectacular but easy post appeals to me just now.

Nice looking pup against the appropriate background for this challenge.

Looks more like brown white and blue. Now this is red.

This is one case where I agree with Bynx's edit. That little guy is certainly focused on something.

Thanks everyone.

Bynx, your observation and edit are spot on, as always. Perfect for this challenge, though in real life that shade may be a bit too 'The Shining elevator scene' to live with in my front room.

I tend to agree. in real life reds, we are rarely given #FF0000 (a little hex joke there). The edit feels a bit too forced/oversaturated, as evidenced by the artifacts. I'll take a muddy, natural red over a hyperreal red any day.

It was certainly not my intention to show any realism in the color. I was trying to point out with a little humor the red was more brown than red and I exaggerated that point.
