Default Fireworks-Red, White, and Blue

A local painter by trade decided to create a wonderful Independence Day tribute so he and a friend mapped out and painted this huge 75ft x165ft American flag in the field next to his house. That's him (Randy Jamison) in the middle of the flag.

Here is a shot of last nights fireworks finale after the local AA baseball game. We won BTW. The fireworks were held on the 3rd because the team wasn't going to be in town on the forth and the stadium is the best venue for fireworks. It doesn't get any better than this. Baseball, hot dogs and fireworks, Oh yeah.

Happy 4th,
Steve

Both shots worth looking at. Not seen, something you'd miss. Thanks smac.

Thanks, it was pretty cool. While talking with the artist he mentioned that a WWII Vet had his wife drive him up here to Chico to see the flag from Sacramento. He, like I, was in the submarine service. Only I was in my sub during the early 70's not the 40's.

Happy 4th

Walter, I agree.

Talking with the artist I could really sense how much it meant to him that people were responding so positively.

Happy 4th, Steve

Beautiful flag job by both the creator and the photographer.
