Default Glass- Fresnel lens

Another from the archives that seem to fit the challenge. Besides I just can't resist light house beacons.

smac,
Very nice detailed capture of the Fresnel lens. Like you I'm also a fan of lighthouses.

Sure Walter,
This is the Pt Cabrillo lighthouse State Park just north of Mendocino, California. Through many volunteers hard work and fund raising it has been undergoing restorations for the last several years. The old light keepers cottage has been totally restored and can now a bed and breakfast that be rented by the public for over night lodging. Here are a couple of other pictures.

Thanks for asking,
Steve

Beautiful shots. Some of the largest Fresnel lenses ever made are found in old lighthouses. Does anyone know another place where Fresnel lenses of a much smaller size are used? I am talking six to 12 inches in diameter.
