Two shots of the same setup. One with flash, the other in natural light.

it's only toy that my Jack Russell can't destroy in 5 mintues. Who knew that all those old discarded VW strut boots would live on as dog toys. What a world.

I really like the first one. you did a great job separating the objects and backgroud of the same color.

The background on the second seems a bit washed out.

Yes, I agree it is washed out. It was taken on a window seat with strong back-lighting coming in through the window. I like number one better too.

In the first shot, you have conquered what has been a real pain for film photographers for decades. That is accurately capturing multiple shades of red in one image. Digital seems seems to do much better than film.

A split ND filter would have really helped the second shot.
