Default Problems?

I seem to be having trouble uploading pictures. When I try to attach/upload a file, it says upload failed. Any ideas?

Are you using the 'Manage Attachments" box? It should make a pop-up window with a browse button and a list of acceptable file types and sizes. If you file doesn't meet the criteria, it may cause the upload to fail.

The most common problem is image size. If you follow the general rule presented in the forum guidelines, you should have no problems. e.g. resize your image so that the longest dimension is less than 800 pixels. If it is a landscape image, the width is the long dimension. The long dimension in portrait mode is the height.

I seldom attach images. Instead, I host them on another site (Photobucket), and post a link. I've never had a problem.

Let me know if these suggestions don't help.

Thanks for the help. I have been posting using the manage attachments method with no problems. For some reason it has started to give me problems on both my desktop and laptop. After several tries I finally got the pictures to post. Hopefully this is just one of those unexplained computer things that will fix itself!!!

We were experiencing some server issues last night and earlier this morning impacting both uploading of attachments and e-mail notifications. It should be working again (at least for now). My apologies for the inconvenience.

Thanks.

We're still looking into it.
