Thanks caryl. Im kinda pleased with it myself when I look at it again. It looks real, although its a composite shot.

i think it overall looks good.

i am just wondering if at this point post-fire if the slide should be moving back yet. i dont recall seeing any slow motion sequences that would show exactly where the slide would be at this point. also, recoil, maybe some action blur in a more vertical direction would convey the sense of recoil?

what i think would be kind of cool is a revolver shot, and trying to reproduce some of the escaping gases between the cylinder and barrel.

Its kinda funny. This started out as fire. I built the gun and bullet around that. Then it got more complex. Im not going for precision otherwise you wouldnt hve a clear shot at all. You are right there would be vertical movement the shell would be visible in the air, and the slide would be in the rear position. As it is now its already loaded the next bullet and the first one has just left the barrel. But for anyone not acquainted with guns they might not notice.

I didn't comment originally, but I would like to go on record as saying that I think both versions of your submission are Fan-shooting-tastic.
"Your skills serve you well young Jedi." Whoa! I don't know what made me "quasi" quote Star Wars?

I think I need a nap.

Nice work Bynx.
