Default Fire - DC10 Fire Bomber (archive from 2008)

This is from one of last years horrible fires here in California. The Humboldt fire which started about 1mile behind my house. Yipes! Fortunately the winds kept it from our neighborhood. Sadly, it did not keep it from many others.

This DC 10 was impressive to see in action. It looked like it was floating.

I know where there's smoke there's fire. But where's the fire? hahaha

SMAC,
Nice classic shot. I would doubt that I would want to get close enough to these to actually see flames.
Aloha

Thanks Selvin, I agree, 1 mile was plenty close enough to me.
