Almost medival cannons, here in Fredrikstad with its fortified surroundings.

There is something comical about the colors of the cannons. Like they were sold by ACME Supplies to Wiley E. Coyote.

That was my thought Bynx. Or like something from the movie Rodger Rabbit where they mixed animated characters and live people.

They are real enough, but may-be the colors look funny, when you isolate them and set them into a B&W-world?

Anyway - they are for real. Here is another shot at them (no pun intendet!) and a picture that shows how they are placed all around the fortified town. The big-ones on top and the smaller-ones below.

Great shot. Appears to be a beautiful site. I don't know Norway's history, but I never imagined a war being fought there.
