This has been done to death, so here is my version.

I thought this shot went well with the first.

Both great shots. I took your shot of the butterfly and greyed out the purple flowers. I cant decide which I like better. Then I tried a vignette of color to B&W. I think the purple should be toned down a bit. It overpowers the beautiful irridescent color of the butterfly.

I was thinking the same thing, Bynx. The flower drowns out the butterfly, the butterfly should pop.

I agree with what has already been said. My first thought when I saw the image was that the flowers would be better in BW.

Thanks Cal, Vanessa and Bynx for your thoughts. I was going to go that way and then I thought I would try adding the Lupin and see how it looked. I certainly can see the argument for dropping the color in the flower. I will try that later and repost.

Thanks again,
Steve

Bynx, post your edits and let's see what you came up with. It may save me some work if I don't like it. LOL

This is the vignette of color to B&W on the flowers.

Ok, That's pretty cool. I guess I'll go back and try it without the color in the Lupin.
Thanks.

OK, Here it is without the color in the flower. Better? Not? Thanks for the input at any rate. Steve
