I'm not sure I like either treatment. This little guy seems like he needs the colors of nature around him to survive.

Now, as to your handiwork, I definitely don't like the BW bird on the color background. As to the other two, enough said already.

I agree Cal. This is not the most dramatic picture of a humming bird. It is kind of fun opening one over the other and flipping back and forth. Otherwise, there's nothing remarkable to look at here, best to move on.

Selective coloring in the two is well done but just doesn't bleed with the overall picture. The third one works real well, looks natural like it is the way it suppose to look in real life.
