I am perplexed. Please explain how this relates to the current or any recent challenge. If you have accidentally posted in the wrong forum, let me know and I can move the posting to the correct forum.

These are truly beautiful photos. They almost look electric!

Is the current shoot-out fun with editing? The first photo was edited with Gimp to take out the background and then, in the third it was run through "Fractalius". Is this not considered editing?

OK, I accept the fact that it is editing (and a fine job!) but which of the three categories in the challenge description does it fit. Possibly "Out of the Box" but I'm not sure of the other two. I'll read it again.

Cal

After rereading the challenge description, I don't think this fits any of the three categories. Please read it again.

Fine. Do what you want with it. It doesn't matter.

Calr: The Camels. The Three Kings. The Star. Jesus. The Bible. Belen. The Gospels...
Do you need more clues?

Ordo, I'm not sure of your point. I just reread the challenge description for about the sixth time and I don't see any mention of Christmas or holiday theme. Since Vanessa (vsch1) posted this challenge, I yield to her judgment on this issue.

The editing is outstanding. The images are beautiful. But, is this what the challenge called for.

Vanessa, please state your opinion.

It's the 3 Kings Day, celebrated by Christians the 6th of January, calr. They are pictured comming to Belen on camels from distant kingdoms to adorate the newborn Jesus.

Here in the Biweekly Shoot Out forum we rarely have an editing challenge, but every now and then we like to do something different. The challenge I posted Wednesday is an editing challenge specific to OOBs, Mosaics and Tilt-shift miniatures and runs for the next 2 weeks. I'm sorry if I didn't make that clear in the original post.

Ordo, the subject isn't in question, the type of editing is.

Even though your image is stunning, especially the third one down, I don't believe it meets the specific challenge posted of an OOB, Mosaic or Tilt-shift. If it does, please explain. Steve's Digicam has a Digital art forum where your image would fit perfectly.

I'd love to hear how you edited the original image. You seem to have some fantastic editing skills and I'd love to see more participation from you specific to this challenge.

Fine. Then, move it. As I said before, it's not a big deal.
