The top one needs more images to create more detail. Easy enough to do once you have all the images loaded. Going to try again?

Neither image looks like a mosaic to me. They look like photos with a texture added. Fess up, now. How did you do it?

The first photo I used AndreaMosiac. I had 142 images. How many does it normally require?

The second photo I followed the tutorial of
Virtual Lego Mosaic with GIMP
