Default Silhouettes -- Pier, Pacific and Pillars

Oh, yes, and Palms, too. Taken tonight with my Canon G9 P&S. Horizontal perspective.

And a vertical shot. This was looking through a balcony situated just off the beach.

I like the second shot the most although both are beautiful.

A third vote for the second shot. Well done Walter!

Might as well make it a forth vote for the second shot. But who knows? The first shot barely make it as a silhouette. Dave

Allow me to be the contrarian. I like both shots, but the placement of the lamp in the horizontal framing and the slightly less dramatic sky give it a softer effect that I think is very nice, although I see Dave's point about the amount of detail on the pier bringing up the question, "How much light on a detail should a photo have to be a silhouette?" As always, well done, Walter.
