The inside of a piano always amazes me.

Very nice. I'm always amazed when the piano tuner tunes it by ear.

Johnny, it seems you have a mouse or some moths in your piano. That hammer head just behind the focal point seems to have fallen prey to a gnawing critter.

Anyway, kind regards from one pianist to another.

You ain't seen nuttin' until you've seen a blind man tune a piano. When we still lived in Idaho, we hired a highly recommended blind man to tune our piano. When he arrived, we led him to the instrument. We didn't have tell him anything about the piano. Within 30 seconds, he knew the brand, model, and how old it was. Another 30 seconds, he had the covers removed and was tuning. He did an outstanding job.

Nice phot of the piano interior. Many people don't realize that the mechanixm connecting the keys to the hammers that strike the strings is quite complex. You can't tell from this excellent photo.
