Default Making Music: Another Acoustic!

My acoustic guitar resting on my wife's piano. (Was my wife's idea to show both in the same shot.)

I spent a few hours today trying to get the shot I wanted, and this isn't really it. What a learning experience, esp. with no tripod. I had my FZ28 sitting on a bag of beans, that was sitting on a ~18" stack of books, that was sitting on a tall, wobbly kitchen stool! I had to set the self-timer at 10-seconds because the stack swayed so much after I pressed the shutter release. Heh!

Some post processing and I cropped a little from the top to remove a sliver of wall behind the piano.

Thats a challenging idea! I guess you need to show a little more of the piano, especially the keyboard.

You know, I've come to the same conclusion, Ordo. I took a bunch showing a lot more keyboard, but they didn't come out too well and I was getting frustrated... Back to the drawing board...thanks!

I like the angle on the guitar; in fact, I didn't notice the piano at first. The piano either needs to be more prominent or eliminated.

Thanks, Paul. I think you're right. I tried a few more shots last night (with the piano), but they didn't work out, either. I decided to just walk away from it for a bit - and come back when I'm less frustrated...

Yeah, they are a bit different. When I get my camera out later, I'll post a pic of the entire neck. It's a Cort guitar that I got about 10-15 years ago. The tone is not that great, but the neck is really nice - great action.

Like the new looking Guitar against the well used looking Piano.
