Default Diagonals -- Summers Afternoon Drink

Although I finished the drink before I thought about taking a photograph.... oh the lack of planning!!

Very nice composition Mark...the lines, the colors, the subject...makes me wonder what was in the glass!

I agree with Jelpee. Very pleasant to view. I really like the colors.

That must have been a substantial drink judging by the residue in the glass!

i really like this simple shot alot. the colors work really well together and the placement of the glass and the shadow in the frame are perfect. shows even the simple things around us can be photogenic if we look hard enough

Thanks guys. It was a fruit cocktail in layers of mango, strawberry and gowafa (guava)... pretty nice on a hot summers day.

Dustin, I really wasn't looking for a shot but as the sun lowered the shadow became interesting so I moved the glass to good position on the table and then framed so I could only see the nice orange wall behind. I liked the simplicity and clean look (well dirty glass) that was created.

Like the combination on colors used in the shot. The warm yellow background gives the feeling of a very hot day that needed a cool drink.
