Default Diagonals - Horsepower

This is a replica 'horse gin' in the aforementioned Country Park. The original was used as a winding engine in a nearby coal mine.

Nearby is this somewhat insecure octagonal building, at Bersham Ironworks, supported by a few diagonals of one kind and another.

This is a true cradle of the Industrial Revolution. It's believed that this building was a cannon foundry. The revolutionary precision cannon-boring technology developed here in the late 18th century spread more efficient death and destruction widely, including probably both sides in the American War of Independence. http://www.wrexham.gov.uk/english/he..._ironworks.htm

However, it also revolutionised the manufacture of cylinders for the early steam engines of Boulton & Watt, which powered us towards today's industrial world.

The 1st shot is especially pleasing, Alan. And, thanks for the history on the second.

Shot number 1 really stands out. The scond shot tends to be somewhat convoluted in my opinion.

The first shot looks like a really big play set for kids, very cool.
