Default Magic Hour: Surfer Girl

Surf was up yesterday - was there to catch the sunset but took this instead.

Nice. You really 'captured' the magic light.

I like the exposure setting here. Whatever that is in the lower right, however, is distracting -- but I'm not sure you could get a good crop given the placement of the subject in the frame.

Ordo and Walter C,

Thanks for the comments. Walter, she paddled up to the seawall (which is the dark object at the lower right) and stood up to climb up. Prior to that, she was paddling prone on her board and the shot was not as interesting. I'll try to clone or crop.

Nice shot, you can feel that it's the end of the her surfing day.

Default Surfer Girl - wall cloned out

Calicajun - Thanks for the look. This surf spot is next to the harbor channel entrance. In my surfing days (long long ago) sharks used to follow the tuna boats in, so it was best to get out of the water before dark. I'll post another shot taken at same position.

Walter C, wall cloned out.

Without the wall, this is a fantastic shot.

Looks good with the piece of wall gone. Would also be a good picture if more of the wall was showing, giving her a place to be going to end her journey.

Thanks Mugmar, appreciate it. Calicajun, I'll check the original to see if I can tell the story.
