Nicely done. It's not you. Red has always been a very difficult color to photograph. Back in the not so distant film days, the dyes used for red were the weakest part of color film. It was very difficult to get good, sharp reds. I thought that with the advent of digital, that problem was history but for some reason red still seams to be difficult to render. Doe anyone know why?

I think irregardless of camera brand it seems red continues to be difficult to render compared to other colors.
Very well done! My only minor nit pic is the shadow in the middle of the flower. Perhaps a slight lightening of the shadows using the appropriate editor is the solution.

Thank you Calr and Selvin, glad to know it is not completely me on getting red right. Waiting for next red flower to bloom so can try to get a bit better at red. I'll work on the shadows in the flower Selvin and see what I can do.
Thanks for the help.
