Default Colors: Not so mellow...

...yellow. A 1932 Ford hot rod. 3-shot HDR, hand-held.

I love your car shots Walter. But in this shot and in others by others I dont see a dominant color. Its a yellow car, its a blue sky, lots of black visible. Nothing that stands out to make anyone looking at the pic to realize it was to show the color yellow.

I would be interested in the take of others. To me, the shot shouts "Yellow!", despite including other colors. Same with my #2 shot of the '38 Chevrolet.

Love the car and the yellow does stand out but not sure it completely dominates the picture. Great car shot just on it's own, the owner of the car would put that picture up on his wall I'm sure.

Yes, Calicajun, I also shot him with the car and told him I'd post it on my Pbase website. www.pbase.com/gwcoles

I would definitely have to agree with Walter. It may not win on a pixel count but the yellow of the car definitely dominates the image and a nice image it is.

Shades of color, holy batman and robin.
Are we down to counting pixels? Folks lets lighten up.
YAnd es, Walter's photos may not have been the case of an entirely dominant color in terms of pixel count but the color has been at least mariginally the siginificant color or majority color. from a viewing perspective it does catch the eye as the dominant color.

Aloha

He does look like he is a bit proud of his car.
