So far I havent seen a single one shot plugin that really makes the pic look like an IR filter. To me a scene always looks like winter. This one just looks like a lot of noise. Its similar to caryl's shot.

I think you're right. It's been interesting, however, to explore an aspect of photography I never thought to try. I'm feeling you really need an IR camera. Is this any better?

Neither of these shots, in my opinion, show the strong points of an IR shot or conversion. It appears that the sun is above or behind the trees thus reducing the amount of IR reflection. Also the angle of the shot does not provide a lot of contrast in IR reflection. I think a good IR shot should have about 1/2 to 2/3 vegetation and the balance being man-made or other objects. You will get the most reflection with the sun behind you. It takes a lot of experimentation to learn what works and what does not work with IR. Look at the work done by others. The shot I posted in the challenge is a good example and I hope to post others before the challenge is up.
