Good picture but makes me wonder why the harbor has allowed it to stay there so long.

I have seen just masts like this based on land. Usually they are near a marina or marine business. However, I never saw any in the water. That looks like a good place for an amateur diving expedition. You might find some answers.

Went back and asked an employee that happened by. He had no explaination regarding the length of time that the yacht was there. A fisherman mentioned that diving was not allowed in the area. The yacht is at the far side of an active channel where small boats launch and is probably a hazard to be in the water nearby.
