Default Things Fall Apart -- Old BNSF Pump House

This is a shot of an old pump house on a BNSF siding in Lyle, Washington on the north bank of the Columbia river. I photographed this structure from about 7-8 different angles and took some measurements for the purpose of creating a 3d model in Microsoft Train Simulator. I was modeling a 20-mile section of the Columbia River Gorge and this building just had to be in it!!

About three weeks after taking this photo, I took my wife to the location to show her and it was gone!! All that remained was the foundation and some pipes.

Here is a screenshot of the model I did for MSTS.

Enjoy,

Cal

Thank goodness you got the shot before the removal. I know we all have probably
seen things and then go back and they are gone. Lesson is to always have the camera at the ready. Nice shots!

Looks like one I have seen in some old Cowboy movies. To bad it's been taken down and now forgotten, except for your model of course.
