Default Making Music and Sound - Texas State Fair 2009

Here are a couple from the Texas State Fair last year. These were actually video captures I just selected a frame from to help capture the moment.

This one was a "street" band.

This is "The Killdaires" a Scottish Rock band, and the people from "the dog show" were out doing their thing after their show, dancing with their pooches. This was right before dusk.

I like street music - it's feels more "basic" or "pure" compared to a perfect CD recording. The sax player is what makes me "see" the music here. Unusual approach with that video thingie - but why not?

Live music is better in my book as well, for reasons dependant on the venue. No stereo system can produce the surround sound of a concert hall, and no music video can capture the real energy and emotion of a jazz/blues singer.
