My place in summer and winter.

LOL! I'm not crazy about the cloned in mini-van, it looks too warm. Other than that, another amazing difference. My area, on the other hand, looks pretty much the same now as it does in summer.

The guy driving the minivan is a friend of mine who died recently. I just cloned him in for sentimental reasons. Also to keep both images more alike, but different.

I'm not objecting to the cloned minivan per se, but rather the fact that it doesn't match the color tone all that well, at least looking at it on my lousy work computer. You are usually so brilliant and meticulous about your processing and I was a bit surprised that it didn't match in better. I actually like the composition with the van, as it does keep the two shots related much more than if it weren't there.

I toned the van down quite a bit if you compare the two images. Desaturated color and darkened the image. I wasnt going for perfection, because no one is going to see it anyway. Oh except you. I promise my next work will be better, if you promise to look at it.

I wish you people hadn't said the van was cloned in the second photo. I was totally amazed that you happened to capture the same van in the same spot in both photos.

OK! They're coming for me now so I've either got to hide or go with them!

Okay, if you look really carefully you can see the cloning artifacts but nonetheless an impressive job and the theme for the challenge is well done.
