Default Wind -- Wind Farm

Both of these shots were taken the same day less than an hour apart. We were trying to keep ahead of a nasty thunderstorm that was hot on our tail!

These shots were taken in central Oregon near the town of Madras. This is a small wind farm that we didn't know was there until we popped over a hill and there it was. There are about 50-60 turbines at this site. More recently, hundreds of turbines have appeared on the bluffs overlooking the Columbia River about twenty miles north of this site.

The second shot looks so dramatic with the stark white turbines against the darkening stormy clouds. Love it.

You weren't kidding about that storm, I agree with Selvin's comment on that second shot, stunning!

Another agreement here - strong image with the white towers and dark rainclouds in b/g.

Those wind turbines are going to get quite a work out when that storm arrives in full force. Wonderfully captured.

That second one is such a dramatic contrast with the first one, quite spectacular!
