Every April scores of sailboats join a race beginning in Newport Beach, CA and ending in Ensenada, Mexico. Here's a small group of boats at the start of the race.

I very much like images of sailboats and these are very nice indeed.
I've always been mystified why there are not more crashes at the beginning of a race, though. If there was ever a bi-weekly shootout entitled "organized chaos" I think the start of a sailing race would be a perfect entry. ![]() Zig

Love the verticle shot. It really emphasises the height of the sails.
