Default Point A to Point B: conundrum

Ahead of me I saw a litle feather dancing its way across the bush track. It wasn't blowing across but standing on its end and dancing in small zig-zags in the very light breeze. As I got to it I saw that it was an ant carrying a feather, holding it upright and scurrying across the track, now being pushed off course by the breeze now scurrying ahead.

Point A would have been where the ant found his feather. Point B I guess will be his ant-hole.

But what is he going to do with it when he gets it home??

Puzzled and curious.

Maybe the feather makes him look bigger and more dangerous to a would be predator.

A fan for the queen? A sail for his windsurfer? Maybe this is the Leonardo DaVinci of the ant world, going to make a flying machine.

... or maybe he's actually that ant in Minuscule which, instead of the cut leaves the other ants were marching into the hole, carried discarded finery only to be turned away by the 'head' ant ........ and so made his own pile of 'treasures'?

Oh no it was befitting for the Queen to rest her heavy head upon during the nights of cold then later to fan her with in the heat of the summers! That ant knew treasure befitting to a Queen! Have not you seen the movie ANTS!

Maybe he's the 'ant'-erior decorator.
