Default New Challenge - April 20-May 3 - Fish Out of Water

How many times have you heard the saying "I feel like a fish out of water?" Usually this means you are in a situation where you don't seem to belong.

This is a challenge that has numerous interpretations. Here are just a few:
  • A live fish literally out of water such as on a stringer, in a net, on a hook, etc.
  • A sculpture of a fish
  • Fish plaques on a school fence
  • An object that is completely out of place with its surroundings such as a yellow flower in the middle of a bunch of red flowers.
There are many other possible interpretations you are free to use.

If you live near a major river, lake or seashore, you can probable spot fish on signs, sculptures, marinas, etc. Check your local schools. There are several schools in my area where the students have painted fish plaques and they have been mounted on a school fence. In the town of "The Dalles, OR", there is an overpass over the Interstate that has metal fish on the safety fence.

Please put "Fish Out of Water" in your challenge description. Take the time to review the forum guidelines. I have seen some recent evidence that some of haven't read them for awhile.

Enjoy.
