If I could figure out how to show two thumbs down in keyboard text, I would. There is no back lighting in this photo. The background is painted and the entire diorama is lighted from the front.

Really? I firmly thought it was backlighted. Erase the pick! No problem.

I've been checking many of the picks i shot that day and still think there was backlighting in most of the big panels.
But i'm so pissed of by your aggressive replay (not the first time) and particularly that "Nice try" words, like i was trying to fool somebody, that i will quit the Biweekly Shoot out forum.

I am sorry you were offended. I worked on scenery and lighting in the little theater while I was in college. The lighting for a stage scene is very similar to the lighting on a diorama. In both cases, the background is painted and emits no light. It reflects light.

My intent here was not to criticize but to point out the technical reasons why I feel this scene is not backlit.

I removed the "Nice try" comment.
