Default Polarizer

Use a polarizer to bring out the sky, just wished I had also taken some shots without the filter.
Anyway this is the first time I found something that matches the Shoot Out.

This scene reminds me of the time that 3 of my buddies and I finished basic training in Arkansas and were driving more than 1000 miles to Fort Bliss (El Paso) Texas in my 1949 Studebaker Commander. We had to stop about every 200 miles and buy a retread tire to replace a flat -- at $2 apiece. Who could afford new tires at $8 to $10? One time I fell asleep at the wheel and only awoke when I heard gravel and saw that we were 30 yards off the highway. But, there was nothing but desert sand everywhere we looked...plus a few rattlesnakes.

Now that's a dusty looking spot. Think your shot made it obvious why they're no Mickey D's out there.

Yes Calicajun, without the before and after it's hard to tell the good guys from the bad guys.

That does look like a deserted spot. Though the Joshua Tree looks like it's tended to, or else the yard is graded level and they left the dirt around the Joshua undisturbed. In any case, a not unusual scene for the desert.

Thanks All,
mtngal, I think that it is really part of a old movie set, some things just didn't look right about the place. Maybe should add that this was only my second outing with my new Canon 7D. Haven't put everything in the manual to memory yet.
