Default Signs of Summer - Storms and Games

Tuesday night we were off out of town to watch my son play baseball. The game was called after 3 innings because of storms coming. We headed out of town, popped up over a hill and I spotted this to our west. Wasn't sure if it was a tornado or not. I ended up contacting the local emergency management office and they sent my shots to NOAA. NOAA declared it a tornado, even though they hadn't issued a warning that night. Here's a link to their write up about the storm: http://www.crh.noaa.gov/news/display...69621&source=0

Here's what we are doing 4 nights a week until mid-July.

Wow - that's some weather, love the picture of the tornado. Must have been a scary sight in person, though.

Nice capture of the ball in flight.

I agree that's some spooky summer weather.

There is nothing better than a summer full of youth baseball. I miss those times.

Wonderful image of the tornado. A once in a lifetime capture. I think it's scary that there weren't any warnings.

There were severe thunderstorm warnings out north of this little tornado. But I think from the way the guys a NOAA talked, they didn't see it because it was sooo small on their radar compared to the massive t-storm coming right behind it.
