Beautiful composition, Zig!

I think the long shadows also add to the effect.

Is it a park, or an 'open area'?

Thanks for sharing your morning.

Hi Paul,

Thanks for taking the time to look and to comment. It's much appreciated.

As for wether it's a park or not, I have to say that it is the view from the back of the home of friends we were staying with. They are very fortunate to have worked hard and invested wisely over the years. And, they bought a home situated on this property. It was vacant for many years and was in total disrepair. Over time, they have been able to completely renovate the house.

This cove is home to a nesting pair of eagles, 4 or 5 Osprey's nests, countless Great Blue Heron and shortly after I took this image, 5 Tundra Swan went flying by before I could change lenses.

An absolutely perfect spot for those that enjoy taking photos of birds and wildlife.

Zig

Nice job, Zig. Just wish the image was a bit larger.

Thanks Zig for the explanation... it's always so interesting reading 'about' the area of others' photos.

Wow... congratulations and well done to your friends for the hard work and lovely investment of where their home is.... I would love to visit US and call them friends also! (as I love taking photos of nature: landscape and birds/wildlife!)

Sounds like you had a good time photographing there, and I expect also spending quality time with your friends.

PS- thanks Zig for the larger version photo... I did think about commenting on my first post 'shame it's a bit small' - but Cal, what else can I say but "Great minds think alike"

All the best..

Paul
