Default Convergence -- Space Needle

This is an archive shot taken last September. I am sure everyone recognizes this as the Seattle Space Needle built for the 1974 World Fair. What I don't think many people know is that the Space Needle originally had only one restaurant at the top. The second restaurant near the bottom of the tower was added several years later.

Anyway, we have convergence in the legs of the tower and radial convergence on the upper rotating restaurant. A couple of other things to note--The sun is directly behind the elevator shaft and there is a faint ring of ice crystals visible surrounding the sun.

A neat shot, though I wouldn't have recognized all of the convergent lines if you hadn't mentioned them. The legs are the most obvious to me, wouldn't have even noticed the radial convergence.

I once ate in the restaurant on top - during the 1974 fair. So there's another restaurant? Sounds like I need to make another trip to Seattle one of these days.

Nice shot Cal, on a recent trip to Seattle I took a very similar shot. I do believe that the Space Needle was actually built for the 1962 worlds fair though. http://www.spaceneedle.com/discover/history.html

I guess 1974 came to mind since I knew it was built for a world fair and I attended the 1974 world fair in Spokanne. That was a real drag. I've been to state fairs that were better!
