Default Convergence - Crystal Cove

From my archives. Taken at the Crystal Cove State Park between Newport Beach and Laguna Beach this past spring. The walkway leads down to the cliffs overlooking the Pacific.

I really like the first one and can see the converging lines, but I can't figure out the converging lines in the second one. I figure I'm probably missing something that's going to be obvious if you tell me.

Hi Walter

Clearly converging lines in the 1st one (as mtngal also wrote).

My guess for the 2nd photo are the 'line of beach, line of wet sand, line of breaking waves' that more or less converge at the headland half way in the distance of the photo... am I right?

Thanks for sharing.

Paul

Yes, Paul, that's right. A little less obvious but just as picturesque.

The wavy contours of the railway lines just grabs my attention as they converge in the distance.

The beach scene is one of the few natural convergences that comes to mind. That's assuming the width of the bach remains reasonably constant and not just naturally shrinking as it reaches out in the distance.

Cheers.

Selvin, I don't think the first shot is of a railroad. I believe it to be a boardwalk. In any case, it meets the challenge and is a beautiful shot.

I see convergence between the beach/waterfront and the distant skyline in the upper right corner. Another great shot.
