Default Signs of Summer Heat - horseback riding on the beach

Riding is available year around here. During the peak tourist season those poor ponies don't get much rest. Pardon my use of a cell phone for the tired pony photo.

LOL! If it were my tack I'd be a little concerned - sand under the girth is not a great idea at all. And he looks like he's about to completely stretch out on his side, not great for the saddle at all. On the other hand, he looks quite happy in his surroundings, a very well broke, calm horse.

Looks like it would be great fun to ride on a beach - never had a horse where they allowed such things. Always wanted to though.

When I walked back 30 min later the horse was in same position and his owner was still asleep. The rental horses here are as calm around people as any police horse I've seen.
