Default Birds, Birds, Birds: Hitchcock's Bird.

One nasty looking beast or maybe the dove of peace's evil twin.

You're right. Kinda scary looking but I really like the capture. Nice job Bynx.

A shot that does sort-of stay with you - fierce looking bird, definitely.

Bynx

You took the photo at just the right moment. Certainly an 'action' shot well captured.

Like your 'dove of peace's evil twin' take on it... but maybe that's also because I'm a twin... Hmmm... the evil one?

I guess it depends on whether you are black or white. hehehehe

Thanks all for your kind comments. By the way, the gackle had his flaps out ready to land on a bird feeder. It was just a lucky shot that I patiently waited a long time for.

Great shot! Was it luck or did you bait the bird?

It was taken at a wildlife sanctuary. Few bird feeders and lots of birds and other creatures. Do you call that baiting?
